CHEMOTHERAPY

Many of my friends know that I am wheelchair bound as my leg bones knit. All is going well. I won’t be able to put weight on my right leg for another eight weeks. I am saying mass on Sundays from my wheel chair!

On Monday I begin chemotherapy. The treatment will be given each day for a week using a drug originally developed in Russia for MS, but now approved for waldenstroms’. There will follow a period when my immune system restores itself. The oncologist will at some time do a bone marrow extraction to see whether all the negative protein has gone. I may later be a candidate for a stem cell transport using my own cells.

Meanwhile nothing much seems to be going on in the world of Anglicanism. In any case the real story is told in the parishes.

Please pray for the success of next week’s treatment.
